- ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆I recently purchased a bike from Cyclelane in Glasgow.
After being informed that the bike came "ready to ride" I decided to purchase the bike from this company over Wiggle as itwas slightly cheaper. This was a decision I regret massively.
After spending 4 and a half hours putting the bike together and riding it for the first time it became clear that the bike had some problems - the wheels needed truing and the gears were very clunky. I was a bit annoyed about this having paid almost £600 for a brand new "ready to ride" bike.
I then informed Cyclelane of the problem, their response was "you should have checked the bike for faults before signing for it" - basically putting two fingers up and telling me where to go.
Absolutely shocking.
I have had to pay for the bike to have a service and have the wheels trued which has cost £40. Again, quite annoying as I was sold a bike that was apparently "ready to ride".
Their customer service has been appalling - rude, unhelpful and a complete disregard for their customers. They were quite happy to take almost £600 off me for the bike but as soon as I had a little problem with it, they didnt want to know. They have been argumentative and incredibly unhelpful.
Wiggle offer the 30-day trial on all bikes and their customer services team are absolutely great.
I would not recommend Cyclelane to anyone. I urge anyone considering buying a new bike/bike product not to buy from Cyclelane - they are an absolute shambles and disgrace to the industry.By johns, June 23, 2018
